ABYAN — It is reported that more than 22 soldiers have been killed in an attack carried out by Ansar Al-Sharia on two military position belonging to the 115th  Brigade in the Dofes and Alkood areas of Abyan governorate on Monday  morning.

The 3rd Brigade is an advanced military unit of the Republican Guard. It is stationed in critical positions on Al-Nahdin Mountain overlooking the presidential palace, Asr Mountain to  the west of Sana’a and Nugum Mountain to the east of Sana’a.

HODEIDA — Dengue fever infection increased in Al-Lohaia district, overlooking the Red Sea, in the south-west of the coastal governorate of Hodeida.

Their demand was twofold: that the market be provided with fuel, and for fuel prices to be reduced. The company told the Yemen times that they do not have authority to control fuel prices, and that it is the responsibility of the cabinet. “ Our job is to distribute fuel and has nothing to do with raising prices; the cabinet determines oil subsidies and the amount of imports, which the government has to cover.

TAIZ - Um Alez Bin Abd Al-Sallam, a woman from Taiz, has bought a pair of shoes for USD 15,000. The owner of the shoes was wearing them when he died - and  after having marched over 250 kilometers by foot, over the course of five days and from Taiz to Sana'a, during what was called the “Life March.”

TAIZ, Oct. 25 — Taiz witnessed heavy shelling in the ongoing conflict between the Republican Guard and the armed opposition throughout Tuesday, starting from the early hours of the morning.  Eight people died, including a child and two women, while 25 received injuries.

Some 800 women burned their veils as they called on tribal leaders to protect them from armed attack.

Stray shells kill three in old city

SANA’A, Oct. 26 — Three men were killed on Wednesday morning when stray shells fell in the old city of Sana’a. The shelling came from the Al-Hasaba area, which has become a conflict zone since the Al-Ahmar tribal leaders, who live in the area, sided with protestors trying to oust President Saleh’s regime.

This the third time security forces have unleashed unknown substances on protesters.

SANA’A, Oct 26 — Yemen’s security forces used an unknown substance, mixed with water, to disperse protesters in  Sana’a on Tuesday morning. The protesters were attempting to cross the red lines off Change Square and in front of Sana’a University, according to eyewitnesses.
