14-year old boy still in custody [Archives:2003/663/Local News]

Mr. Hassan al-Zaidi has appealed to human rights international organization for an immediate interference to set free his 14-year younger brother, Mohammed Saeed al-Zaidi.
His brother has been held in custody at the Elaya police stations in Sana'a since August 6.
He was detained by 7 armed men in front of the house of his brother.
“My brother's detention is a flagrant violations against valid constitutions and laws, human rights, freedoms, and international child human rights charters,” he said.
An official said that the interior minister had refused to set his brother free and that his press coverage had irritated the security.
On their part, some local as well as international organizations have condemned Hassan brother's detention considering it as an illegal.
