2 drowned [Archives:2002/25/Local News]

Two 16 year old boys drowned last Thursday in al-Mekhlaf district, Taiz governorate. Anwar Abduh Moqbil and Mohammed Hamoud Moqbil tried to wash in an open well when they fell in.
People were unable to save them. People attempted to save them, but to no avail. The two victims remained in the water for one hour before being lifted out. They were both students at the eighth grade level.
