2 Oil-bearing field explored [Archives:2002/32/Local News]

The Canadian petroleum company Calvalley, has an oil concession at sector 9 in Hadhramout governorate has successfully finished its exploratory excavations.
Geological studies have indicated that huge oil reserves are discovered in this sector.
In statement to the German news agency DPI, the company said the two oil fields in both 9 and 10 sectors contain huge hydrocarbon reserve.
The company intends to conduct further geophysical studies to know much about the volume of oil sector and its quantities. The oil sector 9 area is 4728 square km. The first surveys, which have been conducted by the company in this sector, indicate the availability of huge oil reserves estimated at 3 billion barrels.
