Following instructions from President Saleh to reform the situation at health and medical establishments, a special commission consisting of representatives of the Violation Prosecution Authority, Ministry of Health and the Health Office in Taiz, was put in place to supervise the medical establishments in Taiz City. The commission, based of field inspection visits, closed 30 establishments including hospitals, dispensaries, clinics, labs, optic shops and pharmacies.
The one-week campaign, started last Monday, has unveiled 200 health-related violations. Yemen Times has a copy of the list of victims of medical and health malpractices, issued by the Prosecution.
