The celebration started minutes after the arrival of President Ali Abdullah Saleh on the parade ground. Prime Minister Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Iryani then gave a welcome speech to the guests saying Yemen was “beginning the new era relying on democracy.”The parade began after a start signal was given by President Saleh, in an atmosphere full of curiosity and anxiety.
