More than 25,000 Yemenis demonstrated last Thursday morning in the city of Al-Dale in protest against the actions of the security forces last week that resulted in the death of a policeman and a young college student.
According to local sources, the demonstrators walked for 6 kilometers and passed through the streets of the city with banners, calling for “demolishing military barriers” and protesting “lack of security” in al-Dale where one person was killed and other five wounded in confrontations with the security forces.
The demonstrators also called for trial of security forces who caused these confrontations on pretext of “being war criminals.”
Armed confrontations took place on Saturday in Al-Dale, between the citizens and the security forces following an attack carried out by the “central security forces ” of the Ministry of Interior on a taxi driver, who refused to submit his weapon.
