28 killed in recent traffic accidents [Archives:2004/742/Local News]

186 accidents took place throughout the Republic during the past week of May, of which 106 accidents were collision accidents, which resulted in the death of 28 persons of different ages and the injury of 210 others. 110 of them were inflicted with serious injuries. The financial damage was estimated at 33 million Riyals.
Police Traffic Department confirms that many accidents were the direct results of high speed, reckless driving, and mechanical failures.
