3rd NCPP held [Archives:2002/32/Local News]

Under the patronage of the Hadhramout Governor, Abdulqader Ali Helal and the Minister of Health, Abdunaser al-Munaibari, the 2nd preparatory symposium for the 3rd National Conference on Population Policies, (NCPP) titled Alternatives scenarios & Future challenges was held at the Hadhramout University for Science and Technology two weeks ago. The symposium was chaired by the Hadhramout University Rector, Ali Hood Babaad. Working papers were discussed by the teaching staff of the university. Working papers were centered on population policies, globalization, environment, natural resources, emigration and urbanization, social services.
The symposium aims primarily at preparing the final report, which will be presented to the 3rd National Conference on Population Policies as a focal point. It also aims at reviewing the Yemeni experiment in crystallizing its national policies including its human, technical and financial potentials with a view of achieving the desired goals.
