47th Anniversary of establishing Republican Hospital in Aden [Archives:2001/36/Local News]

On August, 23, 2001, a ceremony was held on the occasion of establishing the Republican Hospital in Aden Governorate. The Hospital was established by the Queen Elizabeth II and her husband. At that time the hospital was named Elizabeth Hospital.
The ceremony was attended by the Health Minister, Abdul Naser Al-Munibari and the British Ambassador to Yemen, Francis Gene. The first phase has been officially inaugurated to include the Central Computer Unites for Registration and Statistics and other relevant information with an overall cost of USD 12000. This has been financed by Aden University. The center will include 22 bed sections. It is also fully equipped with Information Network for researches and medical practitioners in all the governorates of the Republic.
Then the intensive care was opened. It is fully equipped with medical apparatus. Another unite for the chest diseases with the capacity of 70 beds, financed by the Japanese Government was also inaugurated.
In the ceremony the Health Minister, Abdul Naser Al-Munibari spoke highly about the leading role of the staff of the hospital.
