5 Children Died & 4 Injured [Archives:2002/02/Local News]

Five children died and four others were injured together with a car driver last Tuesday in a car accident in Madhbah, al-Sitteen Crossroad. Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Mansoor, Director of the Traffic Authority, said a Land Cruiser car carrying children from al-Nahdha non-governmntal School crashed against a signboard post which was completely smashed into small pieces. The children along with the driver were immediately taken to the Azal Hospital were five children died.
It is noteworthy that traffic accidents increased during last year, 2001. More than 12,887 died in 9221 different traffic accidents in all the governorates of the Republic.
