93 investment projects licensed [Archives:2005/890/Business & Economy]

The State Authority for Investment has granted licenses to 93 investment projects in the period of July-September 2005 at a cost of YR 13 billion, 643 million and 216 thousand.

Statistical bulletin issued by the Authority's Studies and Research Department mentioned that the projects were distributed, in accordance with economic sectors, to industrial and agricultural projects, besides services and tourist ones. Thus the number of industrial projects in the main center and the governorates of Taiz, Hadramout, Aden and Hudeida amounted to 45 projects. Hence the number of projects registered at the Authority since its establishment in 1992 has reached at 5531 projects at a total cost of YR one billion, 838 million and 622 thousand and job opportunities realized amounted to 169.355 thousand.
