Reliable sources at the ministry of interior have confirmed recently that the ministry is intending to introduce some new measures supporting security bodies to put an end to carrying and trading weapons phenomenon.
The sources asserted that nationwide decisive instructions have been issued to security bodies regarding selling weapons, explosives and fireworks, to enhance their performance and consciousness. The new measures include 4-year imprisonment and weapons confiscation for those violating the laws. While a lot of citizens are so pleased with these new measures, observers think that they can not be implemented easily due to many complicated reasons related to tribal and traditional reasons. These measures were prompted by the big threats posed by people carrying weapons to security and because of the widespread of serious crimes specially in the major cities.
