Another successful workshop winds up towardsReporting on women issues professionally [Archives:2003/627/Community]

A three-day workshop organized by the Women Affairs Support Center (WASC) and The Civic Democratic Initiatives Support Foundation (CDF) held at the Central Statistic Authority wrapped up on Thursday 13 March after providing training to 25 journalists representing governmental and non-governmental newspapers, radio and TV.
The workshop trained the participants on how to conduct media reports and news analysis revolving on social issues in general and on women-related issues in particular plus refreshing the journalists' memory.
Various interesting lectures were given by Dr. Abduallah al-Zalab, the Dean of the Media Center for Training and Qualifying Institute.
The trainees were divided into groups and asked to submit a topic related to violence against women.
The trainees expressed their satisfaction of the overall organization of the event.
