Awareness raised among youths [Archives:2003/627/Community]

The National Cultural Center will organize ' The Second Training Course On Human Rights and Democratic Participation for University Student in Taiz on 22nd to the 27th March 2003.
Supported for the second year, by Friedrich Ebert Foundation, the Training Course will gather 35 participants of both sexes from all universities in the country as well as the youth sector of the political parties in Taiz, and active members of civil society organizations.
Both lectures and workshops will focus on the human rights and their application in the national laws.
The first objective of that training course is to raise awareness of human rights among youth, in order to encourage them to contribute to the democratic participation.
It also aims to engage young people in the political arena and to take part in the society's issue.
'The training course is one of our annual activities through which we consolidate our relationships with young people and so achieve one of our main objectives,” Mr. Amin Al Dubai , the coordinator of the training course said.
