New society established [Archives:2003/627/Local News]

In a meeting held in Sana'a at Mercure Hotel last Friday, the Yemen Doctors Society for the Skin and Venereal Diseases declared the establishment of Yemeni doctors society of skin and venereal diseases to be based in Sana'a.
In a statement to the Yemen Times Dr. Yaseen al-Qubati, member of the administrative board of Arab Doctors Skin Union and the Chairman of Yemen Society for Eradicating Leprosy said the main objective of the society was to organize activities of skin and venereal medicine and update styles of work of this medical branch to cope with global scientific changes in this field.
He added that the newly established society would focus primarily on the pursuance of the skin diseases and epidemics in Yemen such as leprosy, tuberculosis, and others.
