A Meeting on Yemeni Woman Work Strategy [Archives:2000/07/Local News]

The Ministry of Labor and Technical Training, in cooperation with the United Nation Development Fund for Women, World Labor Organization and European Union, is to hold an extensive meeting for discussing a draft of a national strategy for the Yemeni women work during the period 21-23 February, 2000.
Sources in the Administration of Developing the Working Woman at the Ministry of Labor said that the draft had been formulated in coordination with the World Labor Organization and a working group formed from some governmental and non-governmental institutions under a ministerial decision No. 70 for the year 1999.
The draft has included four premises on increasing woman’s employment, education and technical training, laws and legislations and awareness and information and enriching them with ideas and opinions leading to increase Yemeni woman participation in the economic activity.
