A Meeting to Enhance the Participation of Women in Elections [Archives:1999/35/Local News]

In cooperation with Freidrich Ebert Organization, the National Committee held a discussion meeting to enhance and strengthen the participation of women in elections on 28-29, August 1999. Amat Al-Aleem Al-Soswah, delivered a speech in which she made clear that the number of participants in this session is 20 parties, besides so many GOs, related ministries, the Law Affairs Ministry, as well as the Supreme Committee for Elections. All of the participants will present papers about their efforts to accelerate the participation of women for the coming local elections. The meeting was attended by a great number of people interested in women affairs, human rights and international organizations.
