A Symposium at the YJS [Archives:1999/37/Local News]

A symposium on “Media and Human Rights” will be held Thursday morning September 16, 1999 at the new location of the Yemeni Journalists’ Syndicate (YJS) next to Al-Rowaishan Exhibition. Mr. Mahboob Ali stated that three papers will be presented in the symposium: one by the Vice Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Committee of Human Rights, the second by the Member of the Arab Organization of Human Rights, and the third will be given by the Chairman of the Human Rights Freedom Committee of the syndicate. Mr. Mahboob also stated that a plastic art exhibition will be arranged and 60 pictures will be on sale and their revenues will be contributed to the Journalists’ Protection Fund.
