Aden Governorate honors laborers [Archives:2005/841/Local News]

Aden- YT- May 8- The governorate of Aden celebrated on Sunday the occasion of the World Labor Day in the presence of Dr. Yahya al-Shuaibi Governor of Aden.

As many as 300 male and female workers from different production and service sectors received honors at the event in recognition of their efforts and contribution to the development of the country.

On the occasion, Chief of the Yemeni Laborers Syndicates Union delivered a speech in which he pointed that celebrating the World Labor Day becomes an annual commemoration and that such occasion coincides with the 15th anniversary of the Yemeni Re-unification.

For his part, Ayoub Abu Bakr Mohammad, Manager of Aden Social Affairs and Labor Office confirmed the importance of integrating efforts to eradicate unemployment, alleviate poverty and push the wheels of development forward.
