Aden University organized a seminar on the “Role of the Tribe in Yemeni Society” during 25-27 December, 1997. The presentations focussed on: 1) Tribal Influence and Structure – the Political Role; 2) Tribal Affiliation – Social Cohesion and Integration; 3) Tribal Business – The Economic Dimension. Many experts and researchers participated in the seminar which was co-sponsored by the Arab Center for Strategic Studies.
