Al-Ameen’s Plastic Art Show Inaugurated [Archives:2000/15/Local News]

Under patronage of Mr. Taha Ahmed Ghanim, Governor of Aden, the plastic art show of the Yemeni artist Abdullah Al-Ameen was inaugurated in Aden Hotel on 4 April 2000. The art show which contained more than 61 oil paintings was attend by a large crowd of different nationalities, Yemeni businessmen, artists, journalists, writers and art lovers. Dr. Diana Becwhite (or British Nationality), Assistant Professor in London University who works now in Yemen also as an Assistant Professor in Aden University, said: “I had the honor of participating and preparing for some art shows for this prominent artist. He has become well known in the international level now especially after his participation on designing postcards for childhood in the world that the UNICEF had called for. In my opinion, this artist deserves all care and attention.”
