Al-Awadhi honored [Archives:2003/626/Local News]

Mr. Hussein Dhaif Allah al-Awadhi, the minister information was honored last Wednesday by the Yemen Times paper.
The newspaper's coat of arms was presented by Mr. Waleed Abdulaziz al-Saqqaf, the Editor-in-Chief of the Yemen Times during his meeting with minister.
The Editor-in-Chief spoke highly of efforts made by the minister to update and promote the Yemen's media and the transition that has come into existence when appointed as the information minister.
Establishing media centers in some of the Arab as well as European capitals is a clear indication of the Ministers' keen interest in the media sector in the republic of Yemen.
On his part, the information minister praised the Time's good progress and efforts made to raise the name of Yemen abroad.
It has to be mentioned here that Mr. al-Awadhi was nominated as the person for the Year 2002 by the Times paper.
