Al-Dhahbani responds to YJS statement [Archives:2002/32/Local News]

Ahmad Al-Dhahbani circulated last week a response to what has been mentioned about him attacking Chairman of the Yemeni Journalist Syndicate (YJS) Mr. Mahboob Ali and being suspended from his former position as financial manager of the YJS. This comes in response to what has been published in local press regarding the said dispute.
According to the 4-page response, the dispute that erupted between him and Mahboob Ali was not because Ahmads son but because of financial violations committed by Mahboob Ali during the term Ahmad was in office. The report accuses the YJSs Chairman of several violations and claims that those issues were the reason for having his suspension.
This is the first incident of its kind in which Mr. Ahmed Al-Dhahbani, who is a well-known journalist who worked as the news manager of the Yemeni national TV channel, is accused of insulting another prominent personality.
