SANA'A, Sept. 17 ) Rashida Al-Hamadani says she is still running in the elections and denies rumours she withdrew her candidacy.
Al-Hamadani is a local council candidate for Sana'a Governorate and Hamdan District. She is also the chairperson of the Women's National Committee.
“I am still in the race and there is no reason for me to withdraw at this stage. I very much hope to win and depend on the people's votes and their support,” She said in a statement to the Yemen Times.
