Al-Ray Al-Aam Newspaper Fined [Archives:1999/50/Local News]

In its last session held on December 7, the West Capital Secretariat Court brought in a verdict to fine Al-Ray Al-Aam newspaper and its chief editor YR20,000. The newspaper stood trial after a case was filed against it by the Ministry of Information because it published a photo with the caption “When will this government leave?” The defense lawyer introduced an appeal saying that the accusation and investigation process, etc. were all unfair.
