Al-Zaidi Released [Archives:2001/40/Local News]

The Political Security Office in Mareb freed Mr. Hassen al-Zaidi, a journalist of Yemen Times, after a 14-day detention. The release of al-Zaidi has come after the mediation of some sheikhs with the Governor of Mareb, who requested that al-Zaidi must not have any contact with tribal and Islamic personalities in the governorate without notifying him in advance. Al-Zaidi thanked all journalists and the local and international organizations who expressed solidarity with him during his detention.
