Al-Zindani Withdraws Case against al-Shoura [Archives:2001/26/Front Page]

Sheikh Abdulmajeed Al-Zindani has recently withdrawn his case against late Abdullah S’ad and his brother Abduljabbar S’ad of the Al-Shoura Newspaper, mouthpiece of the Public Forces Union Party. 
Chairman of the Yemeni Journalists’ Syndicate (YJS) met with Sheikh Al-Zindani after which the latter announced withdrawal of his civil suit filed against the two brothers. Accordingly, the YJS appealed to the Supreme Court to reconsider its latest verdicts. Dr. Abdul Malik Al-Mutawakel, one of the leaders of the party revealed the newspaper’s intention to publish an apology in favor of the Sheikh. “It has been a wise decision that would save his face as an Islamic scholar,” said Abduljabbar S’ad in response to the Al-Zindani’s latest decision.
