Yemen’s opposition delegation had met Mr. Kein Bolack, in charge of Arab Peninsula and Gulf Affairs at the National Security Council, in the White House, Washington three days ahead of President Saleh visit to Washington. Opposition delegation included a number of dignitary politicians, among whom were former diplomats, university professors and businessmen, in addition to representatives of opposition parties.
Some sources said the meeting was held in response to request by US National Security Council in the wake of the Yemeni and American Arabs protest to the White House decision to host President Saleh on April 4.
An opposition delegation source announced after the meeting that the National Council understood the important points raised by the delegation and promised to discuss them with the president during the following meeting at the White House.
