The American Institute of Anthropological Studies launched its archeological excavations at Mahram Bilquis archeological site. The activities are set to go on for several seasons.
The first archeological digs in this site started in the early 1950s by the American archeologist Vidal Philips. The site is a very important tourist attraction.
