Bani Jabr Pleas for Help [Archives:2000/34/Local News]

Tribesmen of Bani Jabr, Khawlan, appealed in a statement sent to human rights organizations to help free 65 people who had been detained in the Military jail since June 28 2000. Tribesmen gathered in front of the Presidency Office, following the Presidents orders to compensate them for damage to their properties during military attacks late December in 1999. However, instead of receiving compensations they were arrested and taken to prison.
