Basurra awarded medal [Archives:2002/07/Local News]

Aden University celebrated on February 2 the selection of Dr. Saleh Basurra, Rector of Aden University, as the cultural personality of the year 2001, by an opinion poll conducted by Alnahar newspaper. Leading social and political personalities in Aden attended the celebration, including Aden Governor and Chairman of Aden Local Councils.
Taha Ahmed Ghanim, Governor of Aden, delivered a word in which he commended the efforts exerted by Dr. Basurra and the teaching staff of the Aden University.
Basurra thanked the people who honored him, stressing that the success achieved by the University reflected Aden University staffs efforts to enhance the educational level of the university.
At the end of the celebration, Shihab Al-Ahdal, editor-in-chief of Alnahar newspaper, delivered the cultural personality ‘s medal to Dr. Basurra. Many medals were also delivered to several cultural and scientific personalities. YT also received a medal at the celebration.
