Bidding farewell to G. Vassallo [Archives:2004/746/Community]

A farewell party took place last Friday in Sanaa to say goodbye to Mr. Gianluigi Vassallo, the Charge de affairs of the Italian Embassy in Sanaa. Mr. Vassallo will be leaving the country in late June. He has been assigned to a mission in Germany.
Tens of guests representing the diplomatic community and friends, Yemenis and foreigners, were present at the farewell party which extended throughout the night.
Despite being one of the youngest diplomats to serve in the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Vassallo has been known for his charisma, handwork, and excellent public relations. He succeeded in implementing and facilitating many projects funded partially or fully by the Italian government. He has enjoyed many strong relations in the diplomatic community and with Yemenis as well.
