Bomb Blast 200m away from The American Embassy [Archives:2001/30/Front Page]

Security sources noted that the blast which took place 200 meters from the American Embassy near to a newsstand caused no casualties. The blast occurred on Tuesday just after mid-night within the grounds of the residential city of the Yemen Bank for Reconstruction, located near the American Embassy, which has now been put under strict surveillance. News reports said that the blast was just a sound bomb which caused no casualties.
According to official sources, there was no political intention whatsoever behind the blast.
