Branch Lawyers Unions Election Date Fixed [Archives:2000/34/Local News]

The Lawyers Union council last Wednesday discussed a number of issues relevant to the council and branches. Held under the chairmanship of Lawyer Abdulfattah Al-Baseer, Dean of LU and Lawyer `Muhammed Naji Allow, in charge of branches, it adopted a resolution calling for holding of elections at all branches according to the time-schedule approved by it.
The Council also approved acceptance of fresh requests for membership enabling applicants to obtain licenses for practice and opening offices. It is understood that a special form has been prepared for this purpose with copies available at all branches, preparatory committees and the secretariat of profession affairs.
The Council, through its branches, has urged all its members to see that they meet all conditions so as to enable them take part in the forthcoming elections.
