The reserves of the Central Bank of Yemen have reached around USD 3 billion in the beginning of 2001, which will enable it to cover the export requirements for a whole year. On the other hand, the level of inflation has dropped to a level of 4%, which is lower than the level predicted by the World Bank. Economic experts say that this is an immediate result of the Central Banks successful implementation of the financial reforms that started last year.
