Chambers of Commerce’s Elections Concluded [Archives:2001/43/Local News]
Around 20 thousand voters cast their ballots last Saturday in all the branches of the Chambers of Commerce, which totaled 20 chambers. The election is the first of its kind since the establishment of Yemeni Unity in 1990. The former board of directors, Abduh Al-Wahab Senan Abu Lohum told Yemen Times that names of voters were corrected so as to prevent duplicate voting. This led to decreasing eligible voters to 3,600 businessman in the Capital Secretariat. He added that around 25 million was spent to support the election process in the Commerce Chamber.
