Chief Editor of Al-Shumu’ Attacked [Archives:2000/27/Local News]

The Yemeni Journalist Syndicate (YJS) condemned the latest attack against the chief editor of Al-Shumu’, Saif Al-Hadri. In an press release, the YJS protested the attack claiming that this was not the only one as he was harassed many times before. Apart from that, Al-Hadri was also detained without any legal warrant for two hours in the Capital Secretariat Security.
In the syndicate’s statement, it was indicated that this was the third time he submitted a report protesting the continuous attacks against him as well as against his newspaper.
The attacks were not at all based on legal warrants. He requested the syndicate to demand investigation with the attackers.
