Consultative Council Initiates Hearings on Industrialization [Archives:1998/22/Front Page]

The Consultative Council (CC) started a 3-day hearing on Saturday, May 30th, on various aspects of the country’s industrialization effort. Officials from the Ministry of Industry, the General Investment Authority, and key industrialists from the private sector came to brief the council.
The focus of the discussion was on manufacturing. “We are interested in finding ways to help the infant industrialization effort,” said Mr. Ali Mohamed Saeed, Member of the CC, and himself at the helm of a major industrial body – The Hayel Saeed Group of Companies.
