Consumer Protection Society more active: al-Bukhaiti [Archives:2002/20/Local News]

In order to familiarize the press about the Yemeni Consumers Protection Association’s future plans, chairman, Hamoud al-Bukhaiti hosted a press conference May 6, to this end.
Al-Bukhaiti briefed the pressmen on the achievements of the association since the beginning of the current year.
“Amongst the precious achievements of the association is the campaign to confiscate expired insecticides and other chemicals used for agricultural purposes,” he added.
He also pointed out to the importance of activating the boycotting weapon against the companies supporting Israel, adding that it will influence the US decision-makers.
Al-Bukhaiti also called for enacting a law concerning consumer protection and the setting up of an ad hoc court to deal with consumer protection cases.
