Consumer protection society more active [Archives:2002/23/Health]

In order to familiarize the press about the Yemeni Consumers Protection Associations future plans, chairman Hamoud al-Bukhaiti hosted a press conference on May 6.
Al-Bukhaiti briefed the press on the achievements of the association since the beginning of the year.
Amongst the precious achievements of the association, is the campaign to confiscate expired insecticides and other chemicals used for agricultural purposes, he said.
He pointed out to the importance of boycotting companies that support Israel, adding that it will influence the US decision-makers.
Al-Bukhaiti also called for passing a law concerning consumer protection and the setting up of an ad hoc court to deal with consumer protection cases.
