Course on Ozone Layer [Archives:1999/50/Local News]

The Environmental Protection Council in Aden, organized a 2-day course about the Ozone layer for media people on December 5-6. The course aimed at raising the awareness about the dangers of the Ozone hole and its far-reaching consequences. During the course, Dr. Jamal Al-Lawzi talked about the importance of the issue and the role that media people should play in raising people’s awareness about the importance of keeping the environment clean. He also said that the Council would hold a number of meetings with factory and industries owners to discuss the alternatives that can replace the chemical substances used in manufacturing which negatively affect the Ozone layer.
The course was concluded by distributing certificates among attendants.
