Dead body found in farm in Taiz [Archives:2004/720/Local News]

On Sunday 29th February, the body of Abdulghani Ali Otham saif was found, covered with blood, inside a watch room in a farm at Al-Mehraq village, in the eastern part of Taiz City. The victim received three shots from a machine gun leading to his death. Security authorities have started an investigation to find the perpetrators while the body was transferred.
According to statistics issued by the General Prosecution Authority, the rate of major crimes has increased in Taiz Governorate to 972 in 2003, including 115 premeditated murders and 291 unintentional death incidents, in comparison to 855, 507 and 403 in 2002, 2001, and 2000 respectively.
