Detaining 65 Persons from Bani Jabr [Archives:2000/28/Local News]

Informed tribal sources told YT that 65 persons from Bani Jabr, Khawlan, were detained in the Military Jail in Sana’a since last Wednesday when they were in a meeting with the President to discuss some important subject matters related to their area and the military attacks conducted by the security forces in the area six months ago.
Sources said that disagreement arose between the President and tribesmen inside the Presidential Palace in Sana’a which led to their detention in the Military Jail.
Same sources did not, however, explain the real dispute that erupted inside the Presidential Palace adding that no one was able to visit the detained as security forces detains whoever comes to visit.
