A seminar on Malaria Diagnosis was recently held in Sana’a. It was organized by National Trading & Services Co. Ltd. and conducted by Patrick Jackier, MD and Bahy Ayoub, MD.
A lot of topics were discussed during the seminar which was attended by laboratory technicians.
Malaria is a global health problem, responsible for nearly 3 million deaths each year, and it is on the increase worldwide. Improvements in malaria diagnosis should facilitate the identification of individuals infected with the malaria parasite and, the treatment of such cases with the appropriate drugs.
