Dr. Qirbi in Tehran [Archives:2002/31/Local News]

Yemens Foreign Minister, Dr. Abu baker al-Qirbi is visiting Iran this week in response to an invitation by his Iranian counterpart Dr Kamal Kharazi.
Dr. Qirbi said his visit would mainly discuss preparations and arrangements ahead of the Iranian president Mohammed Khatami coming visit to Yemen. Dr al-Qirbi did not mention the date of the Iranian presidents expected visit. In a press statement, the Yemeni foreign minister added that he would also discuss with the Iranian foreign minister bilateral relations, economic cooperation and political coordination between the two countries on different regional and international issues.
Yemeni-Iranian relationship is prospering steadily and a number of Iranian business companies are already working in Yemen and others are willing to have investments here.
