Dutch Embassy celebrates Koninginnedag [Archives:2002/19/Local News]
The Dutch Embassy celebrated Queens day, the national day of the Netherlands, on April 30th.
The celebration started on Tuesday in the residence of the Dutch Ambassador to Yemen, Bert Ronhaar, who hosted on the second day a dancing party with most of the guests wearing in orange at the Taj Sheba Hotel.
The ceremony was attended by several officials including the Minister of Planning and Development Ahmed Sofan, who expressed his best wishes to the government and people of the Netherlands on this special occasion.
The Netherlands celebrates on April 30th of every year their queen Beatrixs birthday since the Netherlands became a monarchy in 1813. The House of Orange reigned Holland as a Kingdom since the 16th century.
