EAW Winds Up Auspiciously [Archives:2000/48/Local News]

Under the auspices of Mr. Aalwi Al-Attass, Supreme Election Committee chairman, a two-day Election Awareness Workshop was wound up Tuesday. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the British organization ERTS and funded by the Dutch Embassy in Sanaa.
Dr. Fedaa Nasr Allah, chairman of election awareness programs in ERTS organization in Yemen, said that the workshop was the last working paper of the technical program of electoral awareness department of the SEC. She said the first part started last June when a preliminary field survey was made on five governorates to explore the best means for conveying knowledge. The second part included a short visit to the Republic of Ghana to see ways of electoral awareness there and now this is the third, and the last part held in Sanaa. She wished they could reach an integrated national plan grouping all segments of the society.
