Elections at ICSR [Archives:2003/636/Local News]
The Islamic Center for Studies & Researches (ICSR) headed by the prominent religious scholar Ibrahim Bin Mohammed al-Wazeer, the Zaidies-Shiite sect leader, held a workshop last Wednesday at Hadda Hotel in Sanaa to evaluate the Yemeni parliamentary elections 2003.
In the first meeting, Al-Wazeer concluded that Yemen is going through a positive turning point in the democratic history of the country.
A number of papers were submitted by some of the participants about the violations and transgression that happened during the elections. Many of them also praised the positive aspects of the elections.
It is expected that the ICSR will publish a report about the workshop covering all what has been mentioned about the elections.
