Electricity Dilemma Continues [Archives:2001/37/Front Page]

An increasing number of complaints were filed in the last couple of weeks concerning the weakening and alternating electricity power. Most neighborhoods in the capital have suffered from unstable electrical currents that resulted in damaging electrical equipment and machines.
Despite the increase in electricity prices leading to unaffordable electricity bills for many families, electricity services continue to deteriorate. When asked about the reason behind this inefficient service, an engineer at the Ministry of Electricity replied, “There is simply not enough power generators.”
